Norman C. Barnes' Obituary
Norman Charles Barnes of Cape Coral, FL passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his home. He was 74. Norm was born in Cleveland, OH on Jan 26, 1940 to Harold & Helen Neidermeyer Barnes. He was pre-deceased by his parents, a son Michael (1995) and sister, June. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Rae Ann, daughter Donna (Jeff) Treubig, 2 grandchildren, Jeff & Stephanie, brother, Robert Barnes (Diane) of OH, sister Frances Jackson (Carl McVey) of CA, his very special nephew, who was like a son to him, Tom Jackson of TX and many other nieces and nephews and of course his dog “Barney”. Norm was a mechanic at South Trail Fire Dept. for 23 years before he retired. Norm could repair anything and enjoyed helping his family and friends using his vast knowledge to fix things for all in need. Our hearts are broken Norm. You will be missed by so many. The family will receive friends from 10am-11am followed by funeral services at 11am, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local Hope Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice. Interment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
