Paul M. Phillips' Obituary
Captain Paul M. Phillips, 58, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015. He was born February 15, 1957 in Alexandria, VA to Douglas and Sue (Paskel) Phillips and moved to Fort Myers in 1988. He was the Captain and Training Officer of the Bonita Springs Fire Department, on the Board of Commissioners, Tice Fire Department and was an Instructor at the Fort Myers Fire Academy. He was to retire December 31, 2015 after 32 years of heroic fire service. He was loved and will be missed by family and friends throughout the world. Captain Phillips leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Linda Lou Phillips; his children: Derek Phillips, of Fort Myers, Nathan Phillips of Tallahassee and Jaci Fitch of Fort Myers; his brother, Mike Phillips of League City, TX; his grandchildren: Cavan Phillips, Chase Phillips, Joshua Fitch, Elliot Phillips, Tucker Phillips, McKinley Phillips, Bella Phillips and Jaelyn Fitch. Also surviving is his step-mother, Dee Phillips of Alexandria, VA and his half-siblings: Michele, Sheila and Johnny. Friends may gather to visit with the family from 3 – 8 PM Monday, December 28, 2015 at Christ Community Church, 4050 Colonial Blvd. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
