Ralph Louis Jannelli's Obituary
Ralph Louis Jannelli, 92, of Fort Myers, FL, died January 10, 2015 at Barkley Place in Fort Myers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Cremation rites will follow services. Memorials: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN or to D.A.V. in Cape Coral. Ralph was born June 20, 1922 in Newark, NJ, the son of Giovanni and Marie (Basil) Jannelli. He married Anna DeZenzo on January 20, 1944, enjoying 70 years together. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 12th Armored Division during WW II. He was also a machinist most of his life and worked for Conmor Corporation as a machinist / shop foreman. He was a “Jack of all Trades” and especially loved making toys and tinkering with his computer and 3-D printer. He was a member of the 12th Armored Division Association, Elks Club and was of the catholic faith. Surviving are his spouse, Anna; son Ralph J. Jannelli and his wife Janet of Charlotte, NC; son, Frank Louis Jannelli of Fort Myers, FL; daughter, Marie Goode and her husband Mark of Big Sky, Montana; and seven grandchildren, Ralph, Jeffrey, Kelly, Amelia, Christopher, Griffin, and Simeon. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Jannelli.
