Ramona June McCoun “June” of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at her home.June was born on December 8, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the beautiful daughter of Mabel (Hess) and Raymond J. Terkhorn.She is survived by her loving husband Jeff Hine; daughter Kris McCoun Heierman (Bill) of Fort Myers; son Scott McCoun (Crystal) of Islamorada, Florida; stepchildren Lauren, Stephen and Jason Hine all of Saint Louis, Missouri; grandchildren Jackson and Celia Nail and Macy and Mazzy McCoun; brother Steve Terkhorn (Lori) of Indianapolis, Indiana and nephew Matt Terkhorn (Janelle) of New York, New York.A graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington, June was Phi Beta Kappa. She was a Spanish teacher and later became a successful options trader. She was a member of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church. June was the 1987 Indianapolis Adult Spelling Bee winner. She was an accomplished bridge player. Her passion was spending time with her family.A visitation for June will be held from 4;00 – 6:00 PM on Saturday March 5, 2016 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Celebration of Life officiated by Rev. Thom Shafer will be held at 3:00 PM the following day, Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, 8570 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33919, (239) 482-1250.
