Raymond Henry Hart's Obituary
Raymond Henry Hart, 65, of Fort Myers, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was born December 6, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of Raymond and Rose (nee Nowlin) Hart. He retired in 2003 from the U.S. Army following 26 years of service. During this time, he proudly served in Operation Desert Storm. He taught ROTC at St. Bonaventure College in Olean, NY. After retiring from the Army, he taught Jr. ROTC at Dunbar High School. He was a member of Mount Olive AME Church, American Legion and loved watching westerns, fishing and swimming. Mr. Hart is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Yvonne Hart; his children: Raymond L. Hart of Pittsburgh, PA, Niya Jackson of Fort Myers and Nina Hart of Fort Myers; his sister, Ruby Daniels (Garland) of Fort Washington, MD; his grandchildren: Raynesha, Toria, Ariah, Jules, Raymond, Tajmahal, Byron, Kandrick and Korrin. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor James C. Givens officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the American Cancer Society.
