Rebecca N. Hemelgarn, age 93, of Fort Myers Beach, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born January 7, 1924 in Waynesboro, Georgia and moved to Fort Myers in the ’40’s. She was the second oldest child of seven children in Read Obituary
We have only just heard that Rebecca had passed. I will always have the fondest memories of her and Frank and the joy they both expressed when Noah was born. She holds a special place in our hearts. She opened her arms and loved us unconditionally. She was a very special person and she will be missed greatly. God has a very special angel in heaven now.
Robbie,I have so many pleasant memories of both of your grandparents. They reminded me so much of members of my family, and I learned a lot from each of them. Your granddad always kept a daily calendar, which I still do in this day of Outlook and smart phones, and have been able to reference a meeting or event when my memory lets me down. "Beck" gave me some wonderful keepsakes, among them a ceramic piece with the message "With God, all things are possible". I've shared that thought with many.I also remember your dedication and love for your grandparents, and am glad to know you have a big loving family around you. The circle of life continues! We express our sympathies to Rebecca's family. We have enjoyed many visits over the past years with Frank & Rebecca and their many care takers. We were blessed to have the opportunity to be their next door neighbor and hear many great stories and history of our properties. We are presently near Chanute where they were once stationed and will not be back for the services, but will hope to see our FL neighbors in a few days. They were both very appreciative of the improvements and maintenance efforts that Tip Top neighbors made over the years to the community that they developed. We live in Tip Top because of them.
