Richard E. Davis' Obituary
Richard E. Davis, 83 years of age, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away at home on Monday, December 23, 2013. Mr. Davis was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on January 3, 1930 a son of the late Harold Parker Davis and Helen Hansen Davis Richard was a retired Police Officer from the Atlantic Highlands Police Department with 25 years of service and was a Sharpshooter for the department. Richard also was employed by the Lee Memorial Health System for 10 years as a Security Officer. He proudly and faithfully served his country with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed the outdoors and riding horses. He was a life member of the NRA. Richard had resided here since 1982 coming from New Jersey. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Davis of Fort Myers, Florida; his daughter, Denise (Fred) Dees of Oak Grove, Kentucky and his son, Drew (Cynthia) Davis of Covington, Georgia; his grandchildren, Audrey Davis, Grace Davis, Scott Dees and Jessica Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 4:00-6:00PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
