Rich was a great uncle, although he would embarrass me frequently. I always knew how much he cared.
My favorite memories are family ones. I loved spending Sundays at his and Suze's (his sister) house in Ladue.
Rich was a good cook. He hosted family Thanksgiving at his house in Laclede Square. I would often go down early to help him. It was always entertaining, because he would say outrageous things, just to get a reaction.
Of course when I was much younger, he lived to tease me by writing "Sharon Anne is a turd" on our chalkboard.
I will miss our talks. Thank you, Chris, for continuing to help with those.
