Dee Vito couldnt understand why he hadnt heard from Richie in awhile, we just found out today, we had no one to tell us this, our husbands go back into their childhood together and Richie was a one in a million, that's why we called him the MAYOR he cared and checked in with everyone. Dee, I finally heard the terrible news today, April 25th from John Frederico. I had been talking with Richie once a week for several months, and then his phone service was terminated. I remember the GREAT DAY at Monmouth Park, when you and Richie, along with myself and my wife Lisa , had some laughs, bet on some nags that should be hitting the finish line any day now. I met Richard for the first time at a very stressful time in my life. It was August 2012 as I greeted friends and family at my dear husband's viewing. Richard, took my hand in both of his, and said the very simple but comforting words, "I'm sorry for your loss." He has been dear to my heart ever since. He and his "much loved" Delores have been steadfast friends since that time. I'll always remember the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we shared with him. Richard was the one to ask us to join hands and to be "thankful" for all of our blessings. Richard, you are definitely one of those blessings.Janice Dyer
Dearest Dee, you are in our thoughts and prayers as we remember your beloved Richard. We were privileged to have you both as friends for so long and we shared many happy times. Richard was a kind and thoughtful man and a devoted and considerate friend to many.
