Bob Buker was an elegant gentleman, Christian man of faith, brilliant surgeon, and patriot. He and I served in Army Medicine for many years, and he earned the admiration of all who served with him, plus his patients. His last assignment was as Deputy Surgeon General of the Army. He demonstrated what a great human and leader could do for others. I became Surgeon General at a time to learn from Bob, and cannot thank him enough. Marilyn and I offer our most sincere condolences to Ethel and all the family.
Dear Ethel, We are so saddened to hear that Bob has passed, but yet rejoicing that he is with his Saviour, who he served so faithfully all his life. I am so thankful for the time we got to spend with you both in Maine, Florida, and at our fishing lodge in the Miramichi. Our children where always in awe of him, and the life that he had lived both in service of his country and his Lord He will be missed We all love you and are praying for you during this sad time Starr & Mike Cooke & Family Phyllis Cooke Vickilynn & Eric Cooke
