My fondest memory of Poppi was at his house in Country Creek. Sitting at the dining table, he seemed content, drinking coffee and eating a doughnut. Then his grandson, Tyler, walked in to help us with a project. His face lit up - his energy level changed and the interactions between the two were so sweet. Adoring eyes on his grandson, he smiled with his whole face. This is a reminder that towards the end of life, the only thing that really matters is love & family. He had it, and he gave it. Rest peacefully, Poppi. I thank you for your service to our great Nation and for your welcoming kindness to me. You're missed so much already. - Kerri
