Robert "Bobby" Knox, I have many wonderful memories to share. We both were quite terrible in French class, attempting to recite French dialogue with anything other than southern Indiana intonation. Oh, mon dieu! The brotherhood, miles, and years of countless AAU. Donner and high school swim practices are etched in all of our brethren. Before practice, we used to help each other pop our latest pimples and laugh. All of our travels together to and from this sport cultivated many lifelong friendships. In 1967 and 1968, Bob and I were members of the medley relay State champions in Indiana. We each finished our senior year finishing 3rd in the State in our respective strokes.
As we went our separate ways in life, we reconnected some 45 years later only to find how easy it was to pick it back up so effortlessly. I smile often when I recall such great memories and I will always hold in high regard the respect we had for one another.
My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family.
With Sympathy,
Mark Baker
