Amy
Well dad, it’s been a whole decade since you left this world. Some days are easier than others. I could tell you all the things that I have accomplished and tasks that I have done to try and make you proud but I won’t cuz those frivolous things don’t matter.
I will tell you that growing up without you sucks.
Mom, Justin and me have raised some good kids and so have Eric Loretta Laura and Brent Katie and Jake.
Elizabeth has turned into a fine young lady and is an adult now. Sarah could be a politician and is well versed in the pandemic. Ethan is a deep thinker and well rounded individual, Claire is a crafty one with that spark of joy, Jude has great smile and is a talker. Raven is a go with the flow kind of gal and Logan is the speedster and watches everything that’s going on around him. As for my kids, I have met my match with Jaden. You always said I hope you get a kid that is just like you when you get older. Well, I did but he’s way smarter. Briella has such a kind heart and is so sweet. They both deserve each other.
Everyone here is okay. We are thriving. We would much rather you be down here with us on this journey.
Gosh, ten years! It doesn’t seem like that long but a week ago it did. Good days and bad.
On a lighter note. There are some things you taught me that I have had to relearn the proper way to do. Change my oil, the real name for the attachment with bristles for a vacuum and a few others but you make me smile each and every time I come across um.
We all miss you dad and still love you very much.
