Rona Sue Rassi's Obituary
Rona Sue Rassi, age 69, of Fort Myers, Florida peacefully passed away on January 21, 2026.
Rona was born on August 3, 1956 in Jerseyville, Illinois to Hubert and Wilma Hughes. She was known for her kindness and touched the lives of many as a wife, mother, grandma and friend to everyone she knew. She cherished her years as a team mom for the Estero High School Cross Country and Track teams as well as the 3D Running Club, pouring her heart into supporting the runners she loved. Beyond the track, she found joy in traveling, fishing and most of all, making memories of her family.
Rona is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mark Rassi; her children Andrea Thomas (Dustin) and Steven Rassi (Gary); her grandchildren Savannah, Elenna, Bryson, and Dane; and her sister, Linda Vaughn.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life reception luncheon will be held at Park Alliance Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of her memory.
