Ronald E. “Ron” Forman, 78, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, July 13, 2026. Born on January 29, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, Ron was the beloved son of the late Harold and Fay (Albert) Form Read Obituary
We are so saddened to hear about Ron. He was always the kindest. It has been a very long time since we connected but we worked together I even still have the dental crowns he crafted. And we’ll always remember the weekend we came out to the keys to visit Ron & Kathy. Our hearts are with you Kathy and we send our condolences to the families.

So many memories of all those "Banner Days" From boating in the keys, dogs on floats, camping to God knows where, fireside nights at River Ranch, cowboy hats and Fireball ..alot of Fireball!
Standing joke was " Let's have some Fireball and just see where we'll be traveling to next."
We'll never be able to drink Fireball or peanut butter whiskey without thinking of you and all those wonderful adventures and so we'll make a toast to you forever here forward!!

Dear Kathy and Family,
Ron began volunteering with the VCB in 2021 and dedicated a tremendous number of hours to the VCB and the airport. He was here multiple times each week and a couple of times, during season, even worked four consecutive shifts from 7:30am to 9pm. He had a remarkable ability to connect with anyone, making each person feel heard, sharing a laugh and providing the information they needed. His charming personality and kind spirit will be dearly missed by staff and all volunteers.
Over the years, Ron joyfully volunteered at many of our events including the E Awards, numerous conferences and the Island Hopper Songwriter Festival. Ron loved Jimmy Buffet and embodied the “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” lifestyle. He was RSW’s very own Jimmy Buffet.
For five years, Ron walked into the office every morning, looked at us and said “it’s a beautiful day”. Today is a sad day, but we’re glad that we will always get to remember Ron’s love of life and finding joy in many ways.

I will keep this short. I just lost one of the best friends I ever had 😭
I do have a buttload of photos, memories and laughs that I can call on in an instant. But what really hurts me is the one thing I can't call on in an instant anymore is him 😢
And to be honest, there is no fondest memory. There is just a treasure trove of the funniest, and most wonderful memories. From the bowling alleys to the keys, to the cruises, his boats, my boats, other people's boats and to being his best man at the wedding in key West, I just can't imagine not having my friend around anymore to spend a few days with reminiscing as we tried to do when we could.
I loved this man and there is now a big hole in my heart and my life.
Ron, wherever you are, I hope you and Brandy are out boating, sunning, drinking, friending and enjoying as only you knew how to do 💔
