Ronald E. "Ron" Forman's Obituary
Ronald E. “Ron” Forman, 78, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Born on January 29, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, Ron was the beloved son of the late Harold and Fay (Albert) Forman. He spent much of his life building meaningful relationships, creating lasting memories, and bringing joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In his professional career, Ron was a successful entrepreneur who founded and operated a dental laboratory. Through hard work, dedication, and attention to detail, he built a respected business and earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Ron lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 1991 until 2017 before making Fort Myers his home for the past ten years. He embraced the Florida lifestyle and especially loved being outdoors in the sunshine. For 26 years, he owned a condominium in Key Largo, where he spent countless weekends boating and enjoying the water. His faithful Goldendoodle, Brandy, was often by his side and shared in many of those treasured adventures.
A naturally outgoing and friendly person, Ron never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing pickleball and became an integral part of the Marina Bay community, where he served as the pickleball liaison. His enthusiasm, welcoming spirit, and larger-than-life personality earned him the affectionate nickname of “the Mayor” among friends and neighbors.
Retirement provided Ron with new opportunities to serve others. He volunteered as a concierge at the information booth at Southwest Florida International Airport, delighting travelers with his warm smile, helpful nature, and signature wardrobe of colorful, perfectly coordinated outfits. Whether assisting visitors, organizing pickleball activities, or simply sharing a laugh with friends, Ron had a remarkable ability to brighten every room he entered.
Above all, Ron was devoted to his family. He cherished time spent with those he loved and took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathy A. (Erro) Forman; his daughters, Elissa Mowry of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Jennifer Forman of Orlando, Florida; his stepdaughter, Lori (Jade) Hollenbaugh of South Whitley, Indiana; his brothers, Steven (Helene) Forman of Nyack, New York, and Barry (Rhoda) Forman of Hainesport, New Jersey; his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Cameron, Kaylyn, Tyler, Josh, and Zach; and his precious great granddaughter, Kinsley.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Ron and celebrate a life well lived.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
