Thank you Joan, it was a very special time for my mother, Abe and me. Your love and compassion will always be cherished.
In December, I had the privilege of spending a week with Aunt Rose in Jacksonville. Those days are filled with memories I will forever cherish. She said little but spoke volumes with her eyes and her beautiful smile. Her inner peace radiated . . . especially when Regina walked into her room. They would tap foreheads and stay in that position. The connection between mother and daughter was a beautiful thing to witness. I know the time and energy that go into caring for an elderly parent for days, weeks and years, but it is moments like those that make it all worthwhile. I know JoAnn experienced many of those moments in the days that she spent sitting by her mother's side. How wonderful that she was able to spend Christmas surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! The picture of all of you standing around Aunt Rose on Christmas is priceless. And how fitting that Regina and Abe were with her in her final moments. You were her shelter in the storm and sent her on in peace to the next part of her journey.God speed Aunt Rose and thank you for the tremendous gift you were to so many of us.Joan
Rest in peace Rosie, I am going to miss you.Love Abie
