I didn't know Russ personally, but only through Facebook...that sometimes tends to be where we find our most precious and treasured friends. He made me laugh like no other with his posts and memes, and I often told him that. He is greatly missed by me because I haven't had a really good and hearty laugh since he left this earth. He is spending hsi birthday today with God and those who he loved who went before him. What a great big personality he had, and I'm sure that he has everyone laughing in his new forever home.

I pray for Cindy and Russ' family each morning that they may be comforted and well. Until we meet in Heaven Russ. What a fun day that will be

God took you from us long before we expected.. and we are grieving. I should not be surprised though, that he chose you to be at his side in Heaven, as you have lived a life of great character, patriotism and faith. I take comfort knowing you are now pain free in Heaven, but you will certainly be missed by your family and friends left here on Earth. Fair winds and following seas brother... RIP.

Russ was truly a one of a kind guy. As James said below, we spent a lot of time with Russ and Cindy in our youth and recently reconnected about a year ago. Aside from 4wheeling in the Toyota I remember going to Red Sox games in his Pontiac Lemans. Muscle cars and trucks are what I was into so I just thought he was the coolest dude. Russ had a huge heart, cared about everybody and would help anyone in need. He was a true patriot that loved God and his country, I know he'll be looking down on us all helping us in our own journey called life.

Side note, I just remembered russ feeding their hound dog ice cubes and calling it a popsicle like a treat....I've been doing that for years and get a chuckle and think of russ everytime
