Santos Cantres Lopez's Obituary
Santos Cantres Lopez of Cape Coral, FL and formerly of New York passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Cape Coral Hospital. He was 91. He was born August 12, 1923 in Catano, Puerto Rico to the late Claudio Cantres and Emilia Lopez. He worked with Bushwick Can Company of Brooklyn, NY and retired as a foreman after 35+ years of service. Santos also proudly served in the US Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother William Cantres Lopez. He is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Idalia Cantres; his children, JR Cantres, Olga Cruz, Diana Cartagena, Freddie Cartagena, Eddie Cartagena and Yvonne Cartagena Santos; he also leaves his siblings, Angelita Cantres and Francisco Cantres. He is also the loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4pm-7pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, FL. Funeral Services will be 12pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Field of Honor section of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
