Sharon Lynn Windey's Obituary
Sharon Lynn Windey, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18th, 2020. She was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home.
Sharon’s selflessness and thoughtfulness were evident to everyone she encountered. She devoted her life to her loved ones and her passion for education. Her legacy of love will continue and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Roger Windey of Fort Myers, FL; two children, Jena (Steve)Tissier of Tampa, FL and Tyler (Fiancé, Harley Thompson) Windey of North Fort Myers, FL; her two granddaughters, Kayden and Avalyn Tissier of Tampa, FL; mother-in-law, Nancy Beall of Ft. Myers, FL; brother-in-law, Brad Windey of Fort Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Ellen (Keith) Ennis of North Carolina; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Grace United Methodist Church, 13 Southeast 21st Place, Cape Coral, Florida, 33990. A reception, to share memories, will follow the service at Lucaya Clubhouse, 14506 Abaco Lakes Drive, Fort Myers, Florida, 33908.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Foundation for Lee County Schools, specifically Teacher Literacy Programs, in loving memory of Sharon Lynn Windey.
