You were my family by marriage and my friend by choice. I’m struggling to find the words to write, but you always knew just what to say. You kept in touch with Rick and would somehow manage to make him laugh even in his darkest time. For that I am eternally grateful. I would be sad, and somehow you would know to call. You always spoke lovingly and with great pride about Steven, Amanda and Alyssa. Your Dad, Denise and Dave lost a wonderful son and brother, and I know in my heart you are with your Mom. You found an angel in Heather, and I’m so sorry that you two didn’t have more time. You put more into living your life in the last couple of years then others do in their entire lifetime. That is just a testament to who you were. You will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Langdale family at this very difficult time. I know Steve suffered for a long time and he tried very hard to make the best of it while he went through it. May you walk with the angels and smile down upon your family and friends. I pray the fond memories everyone has of Steve will help them get through this very sad time. Steve, if you could do all us Eagles fans a favor, please ask God to let the Eagles win it all this year. You can be our number one cheerleader from above. God bless and rest in peace. I worked with Steve and we were friends from the start. His smile, attitude and faith were inspirational. He was one of the good guys and I will admire his style, personality and tenacity forever. Bless you, my friend, and enjoy your new life with our Savior.
