Steven Edmund Tepper's Obituary
Steven Edmund Tepper, 72 of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Bowie, MD and Ocean City MD, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Hope Hospice South of Fort Myers. He was born November 24, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Edmund Alfred Tepper and Anita Milward Tepper. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1960 in Seattle, WA and served in Vietnam from 1968 – 1969 where he earned several citations and medals. After 23 years of service in the Corps, he retired in 1982 as a Master Sergeant. Steven then took on a new career in the management and technology consulting services industry with Ford Aerospace, Loral Aerospace and ultimately retired from Booz Allen & Hamilton. Steven was a member of F.R.A. (Fleet Reserve Association) and the Marine Corps Cryptologic Association. He and his wife, Julia, moved to Fort Myers, FL in 2012 as full time Florida residents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 46 years, Julia Tepper; his daughter, Dawn Marie Tepper of Bethesda, MD; his son, Sean Paul Tepper (Gina) of Laurel, MD; grandchildren, Aeris and Adrian Tepper; four brothers, Brian, Mark, Nick and Laurence Tepper and two sisters, Mary Anita McWhirter and Gabrielle Hotchkiss. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
