Tom will forever be a part of my family's life. A Godfather to my son, a mentor to a young kid (me) entering the business world, but most importantly one of my dearest friends. I can truly say I would not be the man I am today without the friendship of such a genuine person. I remember on one of mine and Tom's many business adventures Tom just took over as GM of Sarasota branch. Tom had called me shortly after and said he wanted me to join the team he was putting together. Anyone who knows and respects Tom knows if he calls you go. I had just married and had to explain to my new wife that I was moving and I had to leave now. Thank God for an understanding, adventurous wife. Off I went, to move in with Tom and we became the new guys in the change over. I remember many whispers when I walked through the warehouse, people referring to me as " Tom's Boy " I would hear the same thing from drivers and sales staff. It was funny because they said "Tom's boy" as if it was a bad thing. Little did they know being known as one of "Tom's boys" was not a bad thing for me it was more like a badge of honor. I can assure you there are a lot of us that are going to miss him tremendously and are better business men, better father's and family men and better friends because Tom was a part of our lives. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Tom and his family through Tom's battle with cancer and can assure you he was surrounded by the best team he ever put together, his FAMILY. Love to his family and Love to a great friend.
Sincerely, Ty Bruno
