Virgie was the nicest mother in law anyone could ask for. She was kind, loving, and fun to be with. We shared many laughs and good times and she will be deeply missed. A truly lovely spirit.
I met Mrs. Shukait through her son Norm many years ago when she lived in that old red brick house on 18th st.in Lorain,Ohio.I used to see her whenever I would go to see Norm. She always seemed to be happy and always greeted me with a friendly smile and positive attitude.I'm sure she will be missed by everyone who ever knew her. R.I.P.
We spent many evenings together sharing with our friends and neighbors restaurant meals. Someone always had a birthday to celebrate & Norm would bring Virgie for the meal and of course her chocolate dessert. A longtime friend, she will be missed & rememberedHuggy & Mary Lou Ellyatt.
I met Virgie through my friends Helen and Norm back in the mid 90s. What a sweet and caring person she was, and still is, as her spirit lives on. I cherish the memories that we all made as we dined by the seaside in our local restaurant, laughing and sharing stories. Virgie seemed like a mom to most everyone and she will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences Norm. She was graced with a long life, and for that, let us be glad. Remember all of the good times and allow them to make you smile. The Universe is a little bit brighter now that Virgie's light is shining brightly up there.
I met "Virgie" through my aunt, Catherine Rado, and their affiliation with the P.L.A.V. Post #38 Ladies Drill Team in Lorain. She and Andy were a team in whatever they worked at. In the shoe shop or at the Post, they worked toward a common goal side-by-side. Virgie always treated me as a young adult and never as a child and I have always appreciated that. She welcomed everyone with her ever ready smile and extended kindness to all who crossed paths with her. Her devotion to her mother was precious and in turn Norm's devotion to Virgie further showed how the apple did not fall far from the tree. May your memories be of comfort to you Norm in the days ahead. Thank you so much for connecting with me and I shall remember the phone call I shared with Virgie a few months ago….priceless.
She was my second mother and I loved her dearly. We spent many happy wonderful years together. I look forward to our grand reunion. The circle will be unbroken…My heart aches for you, Norm. Your Mom loved you so much 💗
