William "Billy" Chapski's Obituary
William "Billy" Chapski, age 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most. Born on March 15, 1946, in Roslindale, Massachusetts, Billy was the devoted son of Adelia and Alexander Chapski.
Billy grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. He served with honor in the Vietnam War as a proud United States Marine and was later discharged with distinction. His commitment to service carried through into his civilian life as a Brookline Police Officer, where he was known for his deep concern for the wellbeing of the community.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Rosemarie (Ciccone) Chapski; his loving sister, Geraldine Easler of Woburn, Mass.; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Philip Chapski
His legacy is one of service, devotion, and enduring love—carried forward by those who were lucky enough to call him family, friend or “brother”.
Though he is no longer with us, Billy’s presence endures in the lives he touched and, in the strength, he showed each day.
